Willis Otieno, renowned lawyer and political activist of Luo descent from Nyanza, has called upon his kinmen in various villages across Nyanza to support his ideological agenda. Otieno made these remarks during an interview. Otieno became well-known last year when he made headlines by chanting ‘picky pinky ponky, paka mielo disco’ during Supreme Court proceedings during 2022 presidential petition proceedings last year.
He contends that senators who impeached Gachagua didn’t give him an equal opportunity as they had already decided on Thursday as the date for resolution of his impeachment hearings.
Mohate Somane
Somane countered allegations of petitioners Raila Odinga and Martha Karua that their transmission system of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) could be compromised, by noting it relied on blockchain technology that could not be altered, while dispelling claims Form 34A had been falsified.
He stated that Jose Carmago’s name was only added to uploaded forms once they had been captured by the presiding officer and denied that any submission made via the IEBC portal had been compromised since each submission has a millisecond time stamp.
